No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham, for I have made you the father of a multitude of nations.

And God said to Abraham, “As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall be her name.

Genesis 17:5; 15

When you first met people, the usual question is “What is your name?” And to know the person deeper you will ask the origin of their name. The story goes on and you will find lots of things about the person, and the conversation will flow smoothly. And it will brought connection to know the name of the person.

In the passage of Genesis 17:5, 15 the Creator of the Universe gave new names to His people. The name carries responsibility and privilege.
